This is the list I piloted to make Top 64 at a Regional. Only main change I’d make is replacing Satellite Warrior with Bystial Dis Pater, as the extension/recycling of Abanc in addition to interruption is really nice
For those unfamiliar to Fabled, this deck aims to swarm the field and climb into various Synchro bosses, utilizing T.G. Hyper Librarian and Fabled Ragin in order to refill your hand and keep extending.
There are a variety of engines that support this strategy such as Dark World, but the engine I chose to include was the Superheavy Samurai engine. This engine REALLY overperformed, giving the deck a 1-card combo in Wakaushi, which is able to primarily make T.G. Hyper Librarian by searching Soulhorns or Accel Stardust by searching Soulgaia booster. This also sets up Pend Scales which is HUGE for the deck to be able to get that extra bit of extension to bring out the Tuners and Non-Tuners you were missing from your board. The only thing worth mentioning is the inclusion of 2 Benkei instead of 1, which I think is correct. Normally you would just play 1 because it’s so bad to draw, but this deck is so reliant on using every piece of engine it can find, and because it’s a deep-draw deck if you were to open the 1 Benkei every other piece of the engine you draw into will just be dead and probably end your combo.
Here’s a quick overview of the Fabled Ratios I was on and why:
3 Grimro- Crazy card for the deck as a searcher. There are some awkward lines where you have to Normal Summon a Fabled to trigger its effect, but reducing the randomness of such a non-linear deck is just too good to not be maxing out on it.
3 Marcosia - Being able to discard a Fabled and either a second Fabled or just a dead card like a Benkei so your hand is empty for Ragin, as well as being able to search Stairway to extend and have a way to search Secret Village off AFD are really good. Sadly HOPT effects but it’s almost never an issue.
2 Krus - Being able to revive basically any guy is great but only good once you’ve started your combo so I’m only playing 2 to reduce bricks
1 Kushano - Great send off Stairway if you’ve found Abanc and Non OPT effect in GY is nice
3 Chawa - Discarder and level 1 Tuner are both very relevant in combos (esp. Chawa and lvl 4 into Ragin or Chawa and Ragin into Charge Warrior)
3 Cerburrel - Tuner and summons off discard are both crazy
1 Abanc - Although great card, having a HOPT effect just makes it not good enough to play at multiples, especially because you’re not usually getting into many grind games with Fabled
2 Ganashia - Good card, but surprisingly not enough times where you need a level 3 Non-Tuner to justify it as 3. Great Rescue Cat target.
1 Stairway - Sadly a HOPT effect but it’s searchable so it’s all good
1 Treason - Searchable when you’ve already found Stairway and also just decent backrow interruption
Also quick piece about the Non-Engine:
Rescue Cat - Honorary Fabled card because it’s just so good and your typical Normal Summon. Gets out Abanc + Ganashia for a Librarian or Ragin, or if you already have access to those it can get you two Tuners like Abanc and Chawa to Synchro climb
Dawnwalker - Probably the “worst” engine of the deck as it does nothing on its own, but having a free discard plus Accel access is still nice. Usually sided it out. Also funny thing of note is that Dawnwalker is a Spellcaster so it can make your Secret Village live.
Secret Village - Card came up so much more than I thought it would. Searchable off AFD so at the end of your combo you just slap it down with Librarian and some of the best cards in the game are now offline for your opponent
Gravity Collapse - This is the definition of a “win more” card. Drawing into it is so nice though and it single handedly wins you games that your opponent otherwise may have been able to break through
